Is the Cyber Monday Cruise Sale Real?
Five checks that turn a banner into a number.
Get a Free Cyber Sale Price CheckCyber Monday cruise sales are easy to advertise and hard to measure. A banner can say “up to” anything; the question is what this cabin on this sailing costs you, all in, compared with what it cost before the sale. Here is a five-step check.
The Five-Step Cyber Deal Check
- 1. Same sailing, same cabin. Compare the identical ship, date and cabin category, not a similar cruise.
- 2. Total, not headline. Add taxes, fees and port expenses, and gratuities if they are not included.
- 3. Value the extras honestly. A drinks bundle is worth only what you would have spent on drinks.
- 4. Read the fare rules. A non-refundable deposit or penalty schedule has a cost too.
- 5. Compare one alternative. Price a similar sailing on another line, or the same line a week later.
Worked Example (No Prices, Just the Logic)
Suppose a line advertises a cyber offer on a seven-night Caribbean cruise: a reduced fare plus onboard credit, book by Cyber Monday. Your benchmark from early November shows the same balcony cabin at a slightly higher fare, with no credit. The cyber offer wins — unless its fare is non-refundable and your plans are uncertain, in which case the flexible regular fare might still be the better buy.
Now suppose the offer is a drinks bundle with no fare change. If two of you drink little, the bundle adds nothing and the “deal” is the regular price. Our cruise advisors at Mister Cruise run exactly this comparison for clients every cyber week.

Real-Deal Questions
Do cruise prices go up before Cyber Monday?
Cruise fares move constantly with demand, so a fare can be higher or lower in the days before a sale. That is exactly why a benchmark priced weeks earlier is useful.
The fare fell after I booked a cyber offer. What now?
Depending on the fare type and whether final payment has been made, some lines will reprice or add credit. Ask your advisor to watch the fare; Best Cruise Quote explains re-quoting.
Watch for These Cyber Sale Phrases
- “Up to”: the largest saving applies to a few cabins or sailings; yours may be smaller.
- “Select sailings”: check that your ship and date are on the list.
- “Second guest” offers: compare the two-person total, not the second fare alone.
- “Non-refundable deposit”: a lower price in exchange for less flexibility.
- “While supplies last”: offers are capacity-controlled; decide quickly but not blindly.
One last test: ask whether you would book this exact cruise at this price if there were no countdown clock. If the answer is yes, the cyber sale has done its job. If you are only tempted by the banner, wait for the next sale.
